Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Striking stick-in-rink style white, green and blue durene made up for Dennis Ververgaert, circa 1974 who came to the NHL as an overall #3 draft pick. Tagged in the collar with the old-style Rawlings label in size 50, a tag style correct for the 1973-74 period as later Rawlings labels were all-red with a smaller size designation. Everything is sewn on with the number "10" on the back and sleeves in single-layer tackle twill and a knit "Ververgaert" name plate sits just above. The nameplate looks like a later addition and might have been added for televised matches or could be from alumni use. A few dozen stick slashes, scuffs and marks appear on the lower front and there are a few smaller stains and tiny holes but most of the game wear has been washed out of this supple shirt.
