This collection of goal sticks includes examples game-used by Niklas Backstrom, Tomas Vokoun, Olaf Kolzig and Kari Lehtonen.
– Warrior Swagger model goal stick game-used by Niklas Backstrom in the late 2000’s while with the Minnesota Wild. With the original white tape on the blade and green gauze-style tape on the upper shaft, there is also a handwritten notation of “Min” below the knob. “Backstrom” appears on the middle of the shaft in factory graphics. Great game-use is visible with a section of dark marks to the taped blade and to abrasions on the paddle including a large streak that goes right through the “Warrior” graphics. Niklas has signed the stick on the upper paddle just below the handle in silver sharpie, with the signature having areas of wear from being rubbed/handled.
– Bauer Supreme One95 model goal stick game-used by Tomas Vokoun in the late 2000s while playing for the Panthers. The original tape remains on the blade and the knob, with navy blue gauze-style tape on the handle. The underside of the shaft has a factory code of “S0808-04765”, as well as a Panthers hologram with number “FR1024”. A ton of game-use is present with considerable wear to the tape on the blade as well as a ton of puck marks and abrasions on the paddle. Vokoun has signed across the blade in black marker and the signature displays well despite the dark surrounding marks.
– CCM Heaton 8 model goal stick game-used by Olaf Kolzig in 2008-09 while with the Lightning. The original tape jobs remain on the blade and knob, with “O. Kolzig” and a date stamp of “23 Nov 2008” on the upper shaft. Game-wear includes wear to the taped section of blade as well as a few marks on the paddle including possible red goal post paint transfer. Kolzig has signed on the front-side of the blade in gold sharpie and he’s added “To Barry best wishes”.
– CCM Heaton 10 model goal stick game-used by Kari Lehtonen during his 2003-04 rookie season with the Thrashers, where he also saw action with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL. Kari’s tape job remains on the blade and custom-thinned upper shaft/knob, with “K. Lehtonen” stamped midway down the shaft. A date stamp of “13 Fev 2004” appears on the underside of the handle. Good game-use is noticeable with a number of black puck marks on the taped section of blade, and wear and abrasions on both sides of the paddle, including a crack on the backside of the heel. Lehtonen has signed the front-side of the paddle just above the heel in blue marker and he’s added his number.
