Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Mayor of New York from 1934 to 1945, Fiorello La Guardia was instrumental in changing and improving NY by unifying the transit system, building low-cost public housing and public parks, and by re-organizing the police force. This City of New York 3” x 5” card with embossed seal has been signed by La Guardia in fountain pen and the signature is absolutely beautiful. With "Office of the Mayor" and “Mayor” below the signature, the text on the card reads “I am glad to comply with your request for an autograph”, which helps insure that it was signed while La Guardia was still in office. The card itself is in very good condition with some small creases and toning. A JSA LOA will come with this historic signature.
