With the help of his Max Kaminsky Trophy in 1976 as the OHA’s most outstanding defenceman, Rick Green was then selected first overall by the Washington Capitals in the 1977 NHL Entry Draft. This Montreal Canadiens jersey was game-worn by Green, and as per research, this set was most likely worn in the 1983-84 playoffs and 1984-85 regular season. With trimmed CCM and laundry tagging in the collar as well as "01 84" born on date tag, an additional CCM crest with asterisk (CCM*) remains on the back bottom hem. A ton of game-use is visible with a few stains on the lower front and team crest as well as at least 15 team repairs, with these mostly relegated to the areas around the elbows. With full tackle twill name, numbers and team crest, the fight strap is present and the jersey also exhibits some red staining around the shoulder and cuff section of the right sleeve, and some light pilling on the interior.
