Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
The 1999 season was the start of a new chapter in Jacques Villeneuve’s racing career, he made the decision to leave Williams and joined the newly formed British American Racing (BAR). The season was very trying for Jacques and the team as he failed to finish the first 11 Grand Prix’s of the season and had a best result of 8th at the Italian Grand Prix.
This Bell Dominator painted by Bell SPORTS Europe and tagged 99-10 was used by Jacques during the season and most likely as a race and test helmet. The helmet has all of Villeneuve’s customizations, the vents are closed off, extra eye-port foam is present, the drink tube was drilled and the full radio remains intact. The helmet shows moderate use both inside and out and would make a great addition to any Villeneuve or racing collection.
This item is from Jacques Villeneuve’s personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
