The 2000 Formula 1 season marked the second year for Jacques behind the wheel of a BAR Lucky Strike Honda. Jacques finished 7th in the Championship with 17 points, his best finish was 4th and he achieved that on 4 separate occasions. This Bell K1 helmet was painted by Bell S.P.O.R.T.S. Europe and is tagged “2000-10” on the lower back. The helmet has a France flag decal that was added to the back by Bell S.P.O.R.T.S. staff to signify that this helmet was used during the 2000 French Grand Prix weekend at Magny-Cours where he qualified 7th and went on to finish 4th, tying his best finish of the season. The helmet shows incredible wear inside and out with numerous paint chips and general use and is likely the most “used” helmet of Villeneuve to ever enter the hobby. As per all of Jacques’ helmets the air vents have been tapped –off. The drink tube remains attached to the helmet as well the Hans clips and the full race radio remains intact. Villeneuve has applied his signature to the visor with the ink of the pen somewhat not adhering perfectly to the visor. Also included is the original Bell carrying bag with “J.V. 00.10” handwritten annotations. This item is from Jacques Villeneuve’s personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
