Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Forward Kevin Dineen would suit up for 1188 regular season games in the NHL, he represented Canada in International play on several occasions, played for the NHL against the Soviet Union in Rendez-Vous ’87, and coached Team Canada’s Women’s National Team to a gold medal in the 2014 Winter Olympics. So much experience, and it was during the mid-1990s, when he was mostly with the Philadephia Flyers, that he handled this game-used Sher-Wood offered here, although during the 1994-95 campaign he would spend part of the season with IHL Houston Areos that raises the possibility, especially with IHL tape on the lower shaft, that he used this gamer at that time as well. The stick, with Dineen’s original tape on the knob, has “Dineen 11” stamped on the upper shaft and shows nice game marks along the shaft. It’s all capped off by Dineen’s tremendously nice signature in gold marker on his untaped blade.
