An important part of the famous KLM line that terrorized national teams throughout the 1980’s, Vladimir Krutov has won 11 medals representing his native Russia. This Russian National Team CCCP jersey was game-worn by Krutov circa 1988-89. Images from an October 1989 program for a two game exhibition series between the Czechs and CCCP shows images of Russian National team players wearing that type of jersey (images would be from earlier and most likely from the 1988-89 season) and that according to research they changed to a different style of jersey for the 1989-90 season. With "Kisapukuoy" and size "L 54-56" tagging in the collar, there’s an additional “Made in Finland” tag. With screened-on name on nameplate (in English) as well as screened-on numbers and CCCP logo, the jersey is mesh with durene sleeve stripes and lower band. Game-wear includes red marks near the number on the right sleeve as well as a few board burns on both sleeves on the elbow sections, and there's also some light yellow staining on both cuffs.
