Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Exhibiting very little handling or wear is this intriguing 2-1/2” x 14-5/8” strip featuring unnumbered color drawings of players representing various baseball positions. The position is printed below the drawing, with however pitcher erroneously spelled “picher.” The set is believed to be complete at 12, with however variations existing. For example, the pose for the center fielder on this strip is different from the pose on a sheet of 12 cards. Very few individual hand-cut cards, just 26 total, show up on the PSA Population Report. We spot a small crease in the lower right corner and in the upper right edge, with a very subtle half-inch diagonal crease detected in the catcher card at the far left. Minor paper loss on the reverse, (far left and far right) is also to be aware of, but all-in-all, rather impressive.
