This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
HOF center Stan Mikita’s Northland is featured in this lot of five early-1970s Black Hawks game-used sticks. Team Canada 1972 defenseman Bill White’s Black Hawks gamer is also included along with sticks used by Chico Maki, Doug Jarrett and Bryan Campbell. Stan’s gamer has “Mikita” stamped on the shaft and it retains his nicely-worn original tape job on knob while his tape was removed from the blade. The date "1/27/73" is handwritten in red marker on the shaft. Bobby Hull and Pat Stapleton are among three autographs on White’s Northland Custom Pro.
Mikita’s stick has Gunzo’s stamps on both sides of the shaft and small cracks along the top edge of the blade;
“White” is stamped on the shaft of Bill’s stick, which has his original tape jobs on the knob and blade and “3/25/72” handwritten on the shaft in red. Hull dated “3/25/72” his black marker autograph on the shaft;
“Maki 11” is stamped on the shaft of Chico’s signed Northland Custom Pro with Peterson’s stamps on both sides of the shaft. Maki’s original tape jobs remain on the knob and the blade and “2/2/72” is handwritten in red high on the shaft;
“Jarrett” is stamped on the shaft of Doug’s Northland Custom Pro with the date “3/25/72” written in red marker on the shaft, “23” written in black marker below the knob, which has his original tape job as does the blade;
Campbell’s stick has his number “14” handwritten in black marker below his black tape job on the knob. His tape job also remains on the blade and “Campell” and “3/25/72” are written in red marker on the stick, which has “Gunzo’s” stamps on both sides of the shaft.
