Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015

Marking the debut of the Fleur-de-Lys on Nordiques jerseys, this fabulous and rare blue durene gamer worn by goalie Michel Deguise dates from Quebec's third WHA season in 1974-75. After appearing in 32 games with the Nords in 1973-74, Deguise sustained an injury during Quebec's exhibition schedule the following season and did not play a regular season game. With vintage Maska tagging and laundry instruction flag tag in the neck, the jersey features sewn-on Nords crest on the front and numbers on the back and both sleeves. The fleur-de-lys with "Quebec" through the bottom is screened onto both shoulders. "Deguise" is screened onto the sewn-on nameplate. Only a few jerseys of this short-lived Nords style have surfaced in the hobby and this wonderfully-preserved treasure is the only road example we have seen. Deguise appeared in one game for the NAHL Maine Nordiques in 1974-75. He played 18 games with Quebec in 1975-76.
