Heavy durene gamer comes from the Nashua Maple Leafs of the now-defunct senior amateur New England Hockey League. The team, operating out of the old Nashua Garden, was in existence for two seasons in 1969-70 and 1970-71. This vintage shirt sports a single layer tackle-twill number 21 on the back and the chain-stitched maple leaf crest on the chest in a tip-of-the-hat to the NHL’s Toronto club in styling. The Leafs would face other New England teams like the Braintree Hawks and Manchester Monarchs. Tagged in the collar with a faded label, this one appears to be made by General Athletic and shows decent game use including a handful of smaller holes, some light staining and great inside pilling. A darling style!
