The farm club for the Toronto Maple Leafs during their existence which spanned 5 seasons from 1986 to 1991, the team was first re-located to Newmarket from St. Catharines after the 1985-86 season. This 1987-89 era AHL Newmarket Saints jersey was worn by Mike Blaisdell. With traditional Leafs style, a gorgeous team crest shows a robed saint, complete with antique curled-blade skates and halo over the familiar maple leaf crest, with additional leafs adorning both shoulders. Nice genuine game wear is apparent, with a number of black streaks/marks on both sleeves as well as the bottom front of the jersey. A few board burns as well as some light blue paint transfer is located on the right elbow, and a nice team repair is present on the lower left sleeve. A couple tiny holes located near the middle section of the left sleeve are also worth mentioning. Maska tagging is in place on the collar, as well as a second date tag underneath with "86 07". There is evidence that a former nameplate was once on this garment, and it's most likely that another player wore it before it was recycled to Blaisdell.
