Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Competing internationally for almost 75 years, Czechoslovakia iced their first hockey team at the 1920 Summer Olympics, with six gold medals at the World Championships and four silver medals at the Olympic Games won before the nation split in 1993. This vintage jersey was worn by an unidentified player representing Czechoslovakia during the mid-1970s. With no labeling present other than a possible date tag of “12 77” affixed to the inner shoulder, the vintage tie-neck jersey measures-out to roughly a size 50 and features a multi-coloured shield team crest with embroidered detailing. “21” appears over the sleeves and verso in drop-shadow, dual-colour canvas, with no nameplate over the upper reverse. Exhibiting light game-use, there are a few random marks visible including over the lower front, with a few areas of light red paint transfer. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
