Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

A former goaltending coach with Tampa Bay and Philadelphia, Jeff Reese spent 11 seasons in the NHL as a player. The 1984 draft choice also holds the record for points in a game by a goaltender with 3. We have a Detroit Vipers jersey worn by Reese during the club’s championship season of 1996-97. Bauer ProWear labeling and a size “56G” fly tag sit affixed to the collar, with Bauer and IHL patches over the reverse bottom hem. Featuring a gorgeous multi-coloured chenille Vipers team crest, the V-neck sweater has been accented with teal tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers with white trim, with matching Viper crests over each shoulder. There is also a patch for the 1997 Turner Cup championship, situated just above the right breast. We should also note that material was added to each sleeve to enlarge the cuff sections. A few dark marks are present on the garment, with heavy pilling over the front and near the right seam on the lower reverse. There is also additional pilling within each cuff.
