Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
The winner in 2002-03 of both the Aldege "Baz" Bastien Memorial Award for being the AHL's best goaltender along with the Harry "Hap" Holmes Memorial Award (with Joey MacDonald) for combining to have the lowest Goals Against Average, Marc Lamothe would spend a pair of seasons with the Detroit Red Wings-affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins before moving on to the Russian Superleague. We have a signed Griffins jersey that was worn by Lamothe during the aforementioned 2002-03 AHL season. SP labeling and a Pro “58G” size tag sit along the collar, with SP and AHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with a slightly embossed red and white griffin team crest with embroidered detailing, the V-neck sweater has been accented with white tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Lamothe” across the nameplate in single red twill. There is also a Cintas sponsorship crest situated just above the right breast. A few random dark marks are present including on the team crest and over the lower front band, with pilling beneath the team crest and over the left cuff. Lamothe has signed within the reverse “5” in black marker, and the signature displays well.
