Exceedingly rare with very few examples known, celluloid pocket mirrors were all the rage during the earlier part of the 20th century, with examples produced featuring hockey practically non-existent. We have a vintage hockey pocket mirror featuring an image of the Calumet Hawks hockey team circa 1927-28, winners of the 1928 MacNaughton Cup, along with an additionally scarce 1950s Montreal Royals hockey pinback. Almost identical in size at approx. 2 ¾”, the Calumet mirror feature’s a full-team on-ice photo that remains clean with good clarity, with some minor surface and edge wear to the mirror on the reverse. The Royals pinback also boasts a crisp image with “Montreal Royals” above, along with attached 2” blue and red ribbons. With just some light rusting along the top edge of the ribbons along with general wear, the pinback remains in wonderful condition.
