The most valuable of all Group 1 New York Rangers Bee Hives is that of goalie Jim Franks, a Saskatchewan native who got into 23 games with the Blueshirts in 1942-43, towards the end of the Group 1 era. Appealing picture features a crease-free, problem-free photo, with light wear exhibited at the corners of the beige mat, the latter also including a one-inch diagonal “back” crease which appears as a light bend when viewing the front of the ensemble. Definitely worthy of an important Bee Hive collection.
