Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015

Wielded by the great Habs right winger Claude Provost in the late-1950s when Claude and his teammates were hoisting the big prize in regular fashion is this CCM Professional game-used stick with “Provost 14” stamped on the upper shaft. Claude’s original tape job remains on the knob but the tape has been removed from the blade that shows several cracks but remains solid and intact. This vintage gamer also features the distinctive “Supplied by Raymond Hardware Sporting Goods” stamp on the shaft, the blade has “Pattern Made by Ernie Evernden Extra Special” stamped on, and game marks and some red paint transfer are scattered throughout. A fine memento from a special player who has his name engraved on the Stanley Cup 9 times, and who would pass away in 1984 at the age of only 51.
