A St Louis Blues draft choice in 1985, netminder Pat Jablonski appeared for five different NHL clubs, alternating for Montreal along with Jocelyn Thibault when Patrick Roy was traded to Colorado in 1995-96. We have a signed goal mask worn by the Ohio native in 1997. Originally obtained from the Chicago Wolves trainer in 1998-99 according to our consignor, the mask painter has signed "Tony Jarrett '97" on the left outer side, with “Jabber” in stylized white letters over the red backplate. Featuring an attractive steel-plate design with tears, the original cage, interior padding and strapping is all intact, with a small section of padding over the chin section detached. Jablonski has signed over the chin section, with the signature blending heavily into the background.
Likely donned as well in either practices or games during his time with the Cleveland Lumberjacks, (1997-98 IHL), Quebec Rafales Lumberjacks (1997-98 IHL) and Chicago Wolves (1998-99 IHL), the mask sports a pair of chips to the paint over the cage, with a few marks, surface wear and scratches over the upper section and forehead. There is also a prominent chip over the outer edge near the right ear, with a few other minor edge chips including near the chin.
