Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
An avid hunter and fisherman, HOFer Jacques Laperriere (ind. 1987) had this 28” fish, which he caught on Lac Victoria in Parc de la Verendrye, mounted on a 32” x 12” wood plaque and autographed on the back. Lappy has also autographed the front of two 11” x 14” original color prints of him holding a huge fish in each hand while posing with his fishing buddies. A pair of candid 10” x 8” shots of Laperriere from 1970 show him clowning with a hunter’s horn while standing in front of a pair of wall-mounted rifles in a lodge. Laperriere’s own fishing rod is included in this collection along with four prints of Lappy and members of the Canadiens on a hunting outing from Journal de Montreal photographer Toto Gingras, with a laminated shot of the group and 3 other laminates. Laperriere has also autographed in blue sharpie a 1965 picture of him in a suit and tie posing with a prized trout and two 10” x 13” photos of him holding up big catches. Also offered are Laperriere's two original Canadian passports that had covered the 10-year span from 1995 to 2005. Each passport – one covers the period January 26, 1995 to 2000, the other from March 27, 2000 to 2005 - features an official photo of Laperriere and his original signature. These one-of-a-kind items are great additions to any Canadiens/Hall of Fame autograph collection. The fishing lot and passports both come with letters of authenticity signed by Laperriere.
