A signed letter from Canadian Prime Minister Sir Robert Borden is featured in this scrapbook that belonged to Canadian Olympian Harry Warren. A Rhodes Scholar, Warren ran for Canada in the late 1920s. His letter of reply from Borden, Canada’s 8th Prime Minister (1911-20), is dated June 21st 1928 and typed on “Glensmere, Ottawa” letterhead. Borden signed on the bottom right in black fountain pen and the letter displays Warren’s return address at Oxford. Fascinating scrapbook also features various period athletic programs, newspaper clippings, invitations, tickets and other items from meets involving several runners featured in the 1981 feature film Chariots of Fire.
