Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Star linebacker William Thomas, who spent nine seasons with the NFL Philadelphia Eagles, donned this sensational Eagles gamer during the 1996 campaign, a season which would be capped off with him being chosen to play in the Pro Bowl, his second consecutive Pro Bowl honor. This gamer, with the double tackle-twill number "51" adorning front and back, with a "W. Thomas" nameplate, is tagged in the collar as a size "50" with an added flap stating it's a "6" Extra Length". Small "NFL" and "Eagles" patches are on the upper front of this gamer, and we count at least eight team repairs and a series of stains scattered about. Some puckering on the numbers is noticeable, as is some orange marks on the back of the jersey. Thomas suited up for the Eagles from 1991 to 1999 before moving on to Oakland for the 2000 and 2001 campaigns before calling it a day.
