Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Yes, people sometimes felt bad for the Washington Generals. After all, their regular opponent over the years was none other than the legendary Harlem Globetrotters, who dazzled, spun, twirled, and made magic, and in the meantime, the Generals managed only a handful of wins while the Globetotters racked up more than 13,000. Their job was to lose in serious fashion and the Globetrotters to win in delightful fashion, plain and simple. We have a Generals uniform worn by a team member in the late-1970s, with the gold-colored mesh pullover garment featuring "Washington" heat-transferred across the chest in green and the same for number "4" on the back and upper right front. On the left front tail, a "Wilson" size "42" manufacturer's label is accompanied by a faded flap tag. The game-worn shorts have a draw string, and sewn below the waistband is a “Harv-Al Athletic” tag with a size “36” flap just below. Moderate wear is evident, and the waistband shows an expected loss of elasticity. Comes with an LOA.
