It was of course a packed house (63,165) at Yankee Stadium on October 10, 1962 when the Bronx Bombers and San Francisco Giants squared off in game 5 of the World Series. The series was tied at 2 games apiece going in, and the game itself was deadlocked at 2 runs each midway through when in the bottom of the 8th, Yankee left fielder Tom Tresh smacked a 3-run dinger off Giants hurler Jack Sanford, the Giants got 1 more in the 9th, but Yankees starter Ralph Terry threw a complete game and as they say, Bob’s your uncle as the New Yorkers walked away with a 5-3 win. Offered is a pair of ticket stubs from that game 5 affair, from the lower stands, Section 32, Row M, seats 13 and 14, and simply in great condition with no marks or creases to hurt the eyes. The stubs are printed as “1962 World Series Game 5” with the Yankees logo front and center. Oh, and how did the Series end? The Giants won game 6 to tie things, but the Yanks squeaked out a 1-run game 7 to pop the bubbly in the clubhouse afterwards.
