Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

The great Muhammed Ali has signed using his original name “Cassius Clay” on this famous and fun photo of him mugging for the camera with John, Paul, George, and Ringo when the Beatles first invaded America in February of 1964 and were in Miami for their second Ed Sullivan Show appearance. Clay, who would change his name to Ali not long after the shot was taken, has signed in smallish but clear blue marker just above his glove landing on George’s noggin. Placed into a great 22 ½” x 26 ½” black frame with white matte, the display, numbered as 13/20, remains in wonderful condition and includes a metal plaque in the matte reading as “Cassius Clay, Limited Edition of 20”. Affixed with a “Steiner” sticker on the bottom corner and including a COA from Steiner, this piece is definitely a fab knockout.
