Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Nice Montreal Expos game-worn jersey donned by relief pitcher Sean Spencer in the 2000 season, a team managed by Felipe Alou and one that boasted the likes of Vladimir Guerrero, Rondell White, Jose Vidro, Milton Bradley et al. Handwritten in the collar is a “46”, while on the tail are washing instructions and “Diamond (size) 46” patches. Game wear is light with just a couple of small marks on the back to note. The team crest, the nameplate, and Spencer’s number “53” are sewn-on double tackle twill, and lastly, as a tribute to the great Maurice “Rocket” Richard, who passed away in May of 2000, the Expos added a sewn-on “9” patch on the right sleeve for the remainder of the season in tribute to the legendary hockey star.
