Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Classic mid-1980s Expos game-worn white home jersey belonged to longtime manager Buck Rodgers, who debuted in Montreal in 1985. Rawlings size 48 tagging sits in the back of the neck and an “83” year tag is sewn inside the left front tail, so this jersey was likely recycled for Rodgers, who finished fifth in National League Manager of the Year voting as he guided the Expos to a third-place finish in the NL East with an 84-77 mark. Rodgers claimed the award in 1987 when the Expos went 91-71. “Rodgers” is spelled out in individual sewn-on blue twill letters on the back and there is no evidence of alterations to the jersey.
