Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
It was 1973 when righty Ernie McAnally donned this game-worn Expos jersey that shows lots of use, not only because McAnally was doing his job on the mound in the big leagues, but it was also most likely recycled to an Expos farm team at some point, as most Expos jerseys from that era were. Tagged in the collar as a "Wilson 42", this gamer, with McAnally's number "21" on the front and back, shows a slightly faded Expos logo on the front, while parts of the glued and stitched cloth "21" on the back have come loose. On the front hem is a sewn-on "73 Set 1" patch, and condition-wise, the jersey has faint touches of yellowing on the front and a small hole on the back.
