Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

There weren’t many slicker than Sergei Makarov, member of the dominate KLM line (with Igor Larionov and Vladimir Krutov) in the Soviet Union, and after being allowed to leave Russia for North America, as a skilled member of the Calgary Flames from 1989 to 1993, and then the Dallas Stars in ’93 and ’94. We’ve got one of Makarov’s game-used Christian sticks, wielded by this crazily-talented player in the 1990s, although we can’t pinpoint the exact year. But regardless, it’s a battle-scarred gamer from the great player, now with just a few strands of black tape on the blade and the complete white-taped knob. A ton of game marks line this “Christian” from top to bottom, and “Makarov” is stamped on the upper part of the shaft. A fine gamer from one of the greatest Russian players ever.
