Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
From the fellow who went directly from high school hockey to the big leagues, Tom Barrasso, is a game-used Sher-Wood used by the American-born goaltender while with Pittsburgh in the early-1990s, and is the type of stick Barrasso was using in 1990-91 and '91-92 when he and the Pens captured the Stanley Cup. This gamer, with original tape jobs on the blade and knob, has a small amount of game marks lining it, along with "Barrasso 35" stamped on the shaft, and a handwritten "35" and "+" on the knob. A small crack shows where the shaft meets the paddle, but remains strong and intact. A fine gamer from a goaltender who won both the Calder Trophy and Vezina as an 18-year old, and in 2009 was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
