Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
From American-born goalie Mike Richter is this 1997-98 New York Rangers game-used Vic goaltender's stick, used in a year when Richter played in 72 games, and according to our consignor, was one of the sticks brought by Richter to the 1998 Nagano Olympics, although not used during those Olympic Games. With original tape on the blade and knob, this gamer has marks lining the blade and along the shaft to the knob, and includes red paint transfer on the upper shaft that has "M. Richter" stamped on. Also below the knob is a handwritten "12/26/97" in black marker. A fine game-used stick from a great player who helped his New York Rangers win the Stanley Cup in 1994, and who was inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2008.
