Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
The iconic Trail Smoke Eaters are remembered by oldtimers as the senior club that won a couple of Allan Cups and represented Canada overseas, but the Smoke Eaters are now better known by a younger generation of hockey fans as a solid franchise in the British Columbia Junior Hockey League. From the BCJHL Trail club of the mid-to-late 1990s is this orange, black, and white gamer, tagged on the hem as "Sparlings" with a faded size flap below, and with a sublimated team crest and number "29" on the back and sleeves. Condition-wise, this gamer, along with a series of marks and board burns scattered about, has 2 large team repairs on the front and a large unrepaired hole on the left sleeve and several of the smaller variety, while the right sleeve has several large and small unrepaired holes as well. A fine game-worn Smoke Eaters jersey, and one that has definitely been in the throes of battle.
