Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
From one of the newest members of the New York Rangers and a solid NHLer since 2003-04 when he broke in with the Calgary Flames, Mathew Lombardi, is his 2000-01 QMJHL Victoriaville Tigres game-worn jersey, tagged in the collar as a "Bauer 56" with a size "56" flap below, and with evidence on the inside of a former (and shorter) nameplate. This gamer, with the great sewn-on Tigres crest on the front and Lombardi's number "10" on the back both showing puckering, has marks scattered about including near the collar, on the bottom areas on and near the hem, plus on the back and on both sleeves. As well, the left sleeve has 2 unrepaired holes, and pilling is evident throughout the jersey. The 2000-01 season was Mathew's 3rd of 4 seasons in Victoriaville, and one in which he would notch 28 goals and 39 assists. The following year, his final in junior before turning pro, would see the sniper tally 57 goals and 73 assists. The jersey comes with a Tigres LOA signed by a representative of the club.
