Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Anyone who has seen midget-age players in big-time tournaments knows that these kids can really play the game. It’s serious business when these young men suit up for national championship play, with the Air Canada Cup (now the Telus Cup) showcasing some of the best in Canada going head to head. Offered is a game-worn jersey from a late-1970s early-’80s Ontario team in in the Air Canada tourney, with the embroidered crest, which shows some puckering, stating “Coupe Air Canada Cup” and “National midget hockey championship” also in bilingual lettering. Smaller and similar patches are sewn on both sleeves as well. On the back of this blue, white, and black durene gamer is screened “Ontario”, while the jersey, with illegible size tagging in the collar, shows a few tiny holes on the front and a couple more on the back. Just a great game-worn garment from a teen with talent.
