Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Simply a grand lot of 4 hockey jerseys from days gone by and includes a circa-1950’s Earl Q.E. Flyers jersey in a blue and white Leafs pattern with the screened-on name and in wonderful condition with just a small hole on the left sleeve and a couple more on the back. This old jersey measures 19” across the underarms and 23” from collar to hem. There’s a circa-1960s Taconic Braves jersey with the cool sewn-on tomahawk logo on the front and number 8 on the back, and which shows four repairs on the front, two on the left sleeve, another on the right sleeve, and four more on the back. On the collar is a handwritten “H 42”, while a patch on the inside hem is from “WH Brine, Boston”. Measurements show 19” across the underarms and 20” from collar to hem. From circa-1970s we have two jerseys including a New York Rangers-style with rubberized logo, name “Scalzo” and the number “8”. This jersey is tagged in the collar as a size “s” and “Coane Philadelphia”, and the jersey shows some overall dirt and staining. The other ‘70s jersey is a truly nice affair from an unknown team and having the rubberized yellow logo along with “Peters” and “76” on the back. Tagged in the collar as a size “Men’s L”, this jersey, aside from some pilling, remains in great condition with no holes or marks.
