Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
From winger T.J. Foster, who skated with the WHL Edmonton Oil Kings for 5 seasons in the late-2000s and early-2010s, is his game-worn Oil Kings jersey, a fine example of the amazingly popular jersey style patterned after the vintage Oil Kings jerseys from the 1950s. Tagged in the collar as "RBK CHL Official Jersey of the CHL", with "Elite" and size "56" flaps below, this Foster/Oil Kings gamer has the incredibly beautiful and partially embroidered team crest sewn on the front, the WHL patch on the right breast, individual lettering sewn on the nameplate, and double tackle twill number "16" on the back and sleeves. Evidence of a former patch is just below the WHL patch, and Foster has signed the back "6" in clear black marker. Marks and board burns are scattered about the front and sleeves, pilling is on the inside, the team crest shows some puckering, and a team repair is on the left sleeve. Simply a gorgeous Western Hockey League garment.
