Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
A trio of very short-lived style of Hull Olympiques mesh jerseys worn for just a few games in circa 1985, all tagged in the collar as "Creations Jean Leon Inc." with size "XL" handwritten on, and all with substantial puckering on the team crest and numbers. The three jerseys, numbered "6", "23", and "20", show no nameplate and instead have a rubberized car rustproofing name "Antirouille Provinciale" above the numbers. It's unknown if these were ever issued with a nameplate. The number "20" example has the letter "P" missing from "Provinciale", and marks are light on three, most likely washed out if there were any, although we see a small amount plus an unrepaired hole on the left sleeve of number "20". Number "23" displays the alternate captain's "A" sewn on the left breast. Very scarce Olympiques game-worn jerseys from the Pat Burns-coached, Wayne Gretzky-owned era that would be a great addition to any minor league game-worn jersey collection. Comes with a Classic LOA.
