Through thirty-three years as an NHL official, Ray Scapinello never missed an assignment, and on twenty occasions was selected as the best linesman in the business. In addition to his landmark regular season contests, Ray officiated 426 Stanley Cup playoff games, including twenty years in the Stanley Cup Finals. He was a linesman in three NHL All-Star Games and was one of the officials hand-selected to work at the 1998 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan. This cool zebra gamer with the intricately-embroidered shield of the National Hockey League on the chest was worn during the 1990s by the well-respected Scapinello. Tagged in the collar as a CCM Maska but with no size flap, Scampy, inducted into the HOF in 2008, has signed the front of the jersey in clear black marker, although the black stripes hide a few letters of his name. On the back is a single tackle-twill nameplate reading "Scapinello", while condition-wise shows marks and stains on the front, back, and on both sleeves, some of which, particularly on the back, appear to be dried-up blood stains. Also to note are a couple of pinholes on the back, probably from being displayed.
