Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Superstar Evgeni Malkin and his Pittsburgh Penguins captured the Stanley Cup after taking out the Flyers, Caps, Hurricanes and Red Wings, and it was during this tremendous Pens campaign that Malkin, who notched 113 points in the regular season and another 36 in 24 playoff games which was good enough to be awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy, wore the skates offered here. This pair of Bauers, with the Tuuk Custom blade holders, remain in fine shape with normal nicks and scuffing normally associated with players' skates, but are in such condition that if you had reasonably big feet, you could slap these on and circle the pond, although the original bottom sole padding is no longer. Handwritten on both Tuuk holders are a series of numbers reading as "A3 12.5.04 1/2 71", and on the inside soles are handwritten "280307 11DA". Nice skates from a future HOFer and a fellow who, at the end of the 2013-14 season, had collected 632 points in 518 regular season games. Get 'em now while you still can.
