Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Big and often relied upon winger Colby Armstrong donned this Pittsburgh Penguins jersey in 2006-07, his second season in the bigs and his first full season. Tagged on the outer collar with a Reebok logo and on the inside as a size "56" (with a handwritten "20" on the tag), this Set 1 gamer shows a substantial amount of marks and board burns, especially on the sleeves, and includes a scattering of unrepaired holes on both sleeves. Pilling is noticeable in areas, and the left sleeve shows a couple of team repairs as well. On the fight strap, team equipment manager Dana Heinze has written his name in black marker, and on the inside hem is a "Cutting Edge 2006-2007 Penguins Set #1" patch. Nice game-worn jersey from a valuable player in many ways, and comes with an LOA from the Pens signed by representatives of the team.
