Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Winger Craig Johnson wore this white Set 1 L.A. Kings jersey during the 2001-02 campaign when the Kings displayed the “AM” patch on the left breast in honor of scouts Garnet “Ace” Bailey and Mark Bavis who were aboard United Airlines Flight 175 on 9/11. Tagged in the collar as CCM with a nearby size “54” flap, this gamer has the “2002 NHL All-Star Game” patch sewn on the right breast, and shows marks, stains, and board burns scattered throughout, along with an unrepaired hole on the back. A touch of puckering is evident on the back number “23” as well. On the inside hem is a “Los Angeles Kings 2001-02 Set 1” patch with Kings equipment manager Peter Millar’s circled initials. A great 2-patch Johnson/Kings jersey that comes with a LOA signed by team executive Dave Taylor and with a MeiGray registration number affixed, along with a MeiGray COR.
