Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Czech-born d-man Jaroslav Modry wore this white L.A. Kings jersey during the 2002 playoffs when the Kings displayed, as they did throughout the entire season, the “AM” patch on the left breast in honor of scouts Garnet “Ace” Bailey and Mark Bavis who were aboard United Airlines Flight 175 on 9/11. Tagged in the collar as a CCM size “54”, this playoff gamer has the “2002 NHL All-Star Game” patch sewn on the right breast, and shows marks and stains on the sleeves, along with a small amount of marks on the front and back. A couple of dings are on the back number “44” as well. On the inside hem is a “Stanley Cup Playoffs 2002” patch with Kings equipment manager Peter Millar’s circled initials. A great 2-patch Modry/Kings playoff jersey that comes with a LOA signed by team executive Dave Taylor, with a MeiGray registration number affixed, along with a MeiGray COR.
