Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Cool game-worn equipment from winger Andre Roy when he was suiting up for the Calgary Flames in his final year in the NHL. Obtained directly from Roy, the 2-piece lot includes his “Mission” helmet, signed on the outer top in dark blue sharpie by Roy, and showing the Calgary Flames logo decals on each side, his number “27” plus the NHL shield decals on the back, and the Mission “M” on the front. The inner padding is complete, the straps are intact, just a few nicks and scratches show on the surface, and is ready to see battle once again if so desired. Joining the helmet is Roy’s game-worn Easton Bio-Dri Flames pants, signed on the outer back in clear white marker, with the Flames logo on the right leg, the “E” (Easton) logo on the left, and the NHL logo on the back of the right leg. On the inside waist, Roy’s number “27” has been handwritten with red marker. These game-worn pants remain in nice condition, although on the back are some board burns and a couple of substantial tears in the material. Nice gamers from the hardrock Roy who suited up for not only the Calgary Flames but also the Bruins, Senators, Penguins, and Lightning during his 515-game career. Roy was part of the Stanley-Cup winning Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004.
