Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
A trio of twigs from Habs HOFers up for grabs here, beginning with a vintage CCM gamer from Henri Richard (ind. 1979), with all the cool stuff you would want from a Pocket Rocket gamer including original tape on the blade and knob, "Richard 16" stamped on the upper shaft, "McNiece's" stamped midway down, along with "CCM Custom Pro". Marks line the stick, but the accent stripes are no longer and the blade has been cracked and damaged, plus the tape at the bottom is now gone, leading us to believe this might have been used for a few road hockey games along the way. Regardless, a vintage Pocket Rocket gamer ready for display. Also offered is a Guy Lafleur (ind. 1988) Sher-Wood stick with "G. Lafleur 10" stamped on the upper shaft and the date "8 Jan 1981" stamped on the lower back. This stick, in excellent shape with a few scattered marks, has vintage tape on the blade but because it differs from Lafleur's usual tape job, we're offering it as "game-issued". Lastly, a Sher-Wood with "B. Gainey 23" stamped on the upper shaft with just a touch of marks in places. This stick has vintage tape on the blade and knob but again, because it differs from the Gainey's usual tape job, is also offered as game-issued. Gainey was inducted into the HOF in 1992.
