Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Brothers of Bill Mosienko - Jim and Harry Mosienko - played senior hockey in the Maritimes while Bill was starring with the Chicago Black Hawks, with Jim notably suiting up for the Moncton Hawks in 1949-50. This wool Moncton sweater features a well-worn Hawks team crest sewn on the front, along with a big black felt "A". Similar "M"s are sewn on the sleeves and a black-on-white felt "14" is on the back. Significant game use to report with three team repairs on the back, four on the left sleeve and a sizable stitch job at the left shoulder seam. Holes throughout that were not repaired number close to 20. A lineup page from a program shows Jim Mosienko as wearing number 10, while a "Barkwell" would have donned number 14. Splendid senior hockey relic was obtained from the Mosienko family and comes with their LOA.
