Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Classic orange mesh Philadelphia Flyers gamer was worn by the late Peter Zezel early in his 1985-86 sophomore season. Size 50 and Eagle flag tags sit in the back of the neck, and the Eagle logo is embroidered on the right rear tail. Flyers started wearing "31" patches following the death of goalie Pelle Lindbergh in November of 1985. There are no signs of a removed patch so this game-worn jersey with a Velcro snap fight strap saw duty prior to that. There are faint black marks on the front tail, a light brown stain on the back of the right sleeve and unrepaired holes high on the back of the left sleeve and left upper back. [red] Addendum; Jersey is actually from the 1984-85 Flyers second set which was Zezel rookie season.[/red]
