Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Tiger Williams became a household name first with the Vancouver Canucks and later with the Toronto Maple Leafs, but he also did yeoman’s service in Detroit, Los Angeles and Hartford before calling it a career with a solid 962 regular season games tallied, and yes, you guessed it, a ton of penalty minutes (3966) when all was said and done. We have this colorful player’s Detroit Red Wings game-worn jersey from 1984-85, with no tagging in the collar to mention, but with “CCM” (with an asterisk) sewn on the hem, and with elastic cuffs added to the sleeves to better allow Tiger to throw the fists. Game marks are scattered about the front, back and on both sleeves, along with stains above the crest, sleeve board burns and a small amount of tiny holes. A fine gamer from one of the NHL’s most original and colorful characters.
