Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

This is the striking orange jersey Carol Vadnais wore for the Campbell Conference in the 1978 NHL All-Star game at Buffalo. Vadnais’ only appearance on the scoresheet was a penalty late in the second period of a 3-2 overtime loss to the Wales All-Stars on January 24. Trimmed in white and black, this highly sought-after game-worn jersey features a size 48 tag in the neck above the Gerry Cosby manufacturer’s tag. Vadnais’ surname is sewn on in individual letters above the No. 4 he wore for the Campbell All-Stars at the old Aud. As is customary with a single-use jersey, there is just a minimal sign of game use on this impeccable vintage All-Star sweater with only a small board burn on the back of the right elbow to note.
