Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

Cool vintage Vancouver Canucks jersey worn by winger John Gould during his time on West Coast in the mid-1970s after being traded from Buffalo. Tagged in the collar as a “Rawlings (size) 48”, this gamer with the garter-style fight strap and no nameplate (never had one) has marks on the team’s “stick-in-rink” logo and scattered throughout the jersey, has an unrepaired hole above the front hem and on the left sleeve, and the blue shaft of the stick on the team crest has worn through from wear and washings. Puckering is on the crest and back number “21”, and pilling is found inside as well. Best of all, this Gould jersey is photo-matched to several areas around the collar, putting things completely over the top. Awesome gamer almost 40-years old now.
The jersey is photo-matched to several areas including blue thread on the collar, the alignment and white threads on the v-collar, blue threads on the side of the collar, and the alignment of the upper shoulder seam. Gould would notch 34 goals in 1974-75 and 32 in ’75-76.
